SGD La Granja has participated (2nd-5th May) for the first time in its history in 2016 edition of IEEE PES T&D CONFERENCE & EXPOSITION held in Dallas.

IEEE PES is a society that provides the world’s largest forum for sharing the latest advances in technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the public. IEEE offers a huge range of publications and standards that allow technical knowledge and information exchange among professionals of this technology.

IEEE PES T&D show takes place every two years. Last edition celebrated in Dallas, more than 700 companies and thousands of professionals from more than 80 countries around the World met to participate in the biggest and most collaborative show of T&D industry. New ideas, emerging technologies and the most innovative products were in this show. Among them, HUBBELL® presented as new product in the market the glass insulators manufactured by SGD La Granja.

HUBBELL®’s booth had an exhibition tower to show samples of different glass insulator models manufactured in SGD La Granja to fulfill requirements of ANSI and CSA standards.

Along the show, SGD glass insulators were exhibited to important companies, for example Border States Electric (one of biggest distributors in USA), and general managers of HUBBELL®. In addition, a technical training for sales managers and transmission specialists from HUBBELL® was conducted. For these presentations, the tower and video of SGD video were used as tools to show technicians the high technology employed by SGD La Granja in glass insulators manufacturing process as well as the main advantages of SGD La Granja: quality, automation, RTV coating, flocking, etc.
